Eden boasts some of the best whale watching points on the East Coast, as we are on the whale migration route. Sometimes whales rest in the safe waters of Twofold Bay, the third deepest natural harbour in the southern hemisphere and deepest natural harbour in Australia. Eden offers unspoilt natural beauty surrounded by Beowa, (formerly Ben Boyd National Park) and situated on the shores of Twofold Bay with its breath-taking beaches, rugged landscape of sheltered golden sandy beaches, crystal blue water, rocky headlands and open surf beaches. September through to November is the Whale Watching Season with whales migrating through our beautiful harbour where you can also watch the dolphins play close by. Eden’s urban settlement commenced in 1843 and whale ships have been operating since 1791. Currently Eden has a population of 3043 people.
